Details:
Love, Korea is a magazine concept design revolving around Korean cultures and traditions. The Korean culture has become a rising issue, especially within the States.
The magazine features four sections: Korean Culture, K-pop, Korean Food, and Korean Beauty.
Duration:
August – September 2020
Goal:
Develop an understanding of composition and layout while presenting the subject matter of Korean customs and lifestyle through the concept of magazine design.
Design Process
My design process begins with creating a mood board of elements I would like to implement, including reference photos, color palettes, and magazine designs.
Low-fi designs are made in InDesign. Using properties of the low-fi composition, I then proceed and model the four spreads as well as the cover page of the magazine. The designs are finalized after mockups have been completed.
